Cookieless audience measurement

This site uses PostHog EU Cloud to understand aggregate use of the portfolio and improve its presentation. Analytics runs in cookieless mode. It does not set analytics cookies, use browser storage for an analytics identifier, identify you across other websites, or create a persistent profile across days. Automatic click capture and session recording are disabled.

PostHog receives an IP address and user-agent as part of the network request and processes them transiently on its server to generate a privacy-preserving identifier using a secret salt that changes daily. The resulting hash is used for approximate daily audience counts; the source IP address and user-agent are not used as a persistent visitor identifier.

What is measured

The limited event set covers page views; which portfolio item is opened, identified by project slug and whether it is photo or video; explicit video actions such as play, pause, mute, and unmute; whether an email inquiry link is selected; and clicks to Instagram or the design studio website. These events use categorical labels and do not include the email address shown on the site, message content, form entries, link text, or URL query strings.

Standard technical context needed for audience measurement may include the page path, referring domain, browser or device characteristics, and approximate time of the event. This site does not use these analytics for advertising, automated decisions, or cross-site identification.

Purpose and legal basis

The purpose is to obtain proportionate, aggregate information about portfolio usage, including which work and media visitors find useful, so the site can be maintained and improved. The legal basis is Adrià Ruval’s legitimate interest in measuring and improving this professional portfolio while minimizing the impact on visitors’ privacy.

Provider and location

PostHog, Inc.provides the analytics service and acts as a processor on Adrià Ruval’s instructions. This site sends events to PostHog EU Cloud, hosted in Frankfurt, Germany. PostHog’s contractual terms govern its processing and its use of subprocessors and appropriate safeguards.

Retention

Analytics events are retained under the retention controls configured for the PostHog project while they remain necessary and proportionate for aggregate audience measurement, site improvement, and related security or compliance needs. Retention is reviewed and data is deleted or aggregated when it is no longer needed. Contact Adrià Ruval for information about the retention period currently applied.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Because this analytics setup does not maintain a persistent identifier, it may not be possible to connect a particular cookieless event to you without additional information.
